VISION, VALUES AND MISSION

Our vision

Let’s Journey Together. Let’s Make a Difference.

Our values

Holy Name Primary School has a proud and rich Mercy tradition. We acknowledge and thank the fine work of the Sisters of Mercy, founded by Catherine McAuley, in our past and we wish to carry on their charism by instilling the values of compassion, hospitality, justice and excellence for today and in the future of our school community.

  • Compassion
‘If the love of God really reigns in your heart, it will quickly show itself in the exterior.’ Catherine McAuley

Compassion is the recognition of the suffering of others which results in the expressing of action to alleviate and prevent further suffering.

  • Hospitality
‘The proof of love is deed.’ Catherine McAuley

Hospitality is the creation of a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment, through words and actions.

  • Justice
‘Jesus must be recognised in our conduct.’ Catherine McAuley

Justice is the fair and equitable treatment of each person as an individual.

  • Excellence
‘We must strive to do ordinary things extraordinarily well’. Catherine McAuley

Excellence is the attainment of the highest possible standards.
